Make changes to a new tenancy agreement (NZ only)

Overview

 

  • Make changes to a new tenancy agreement that you have already sent to a tenant.

 

  • Learn how to update a tenancy agreement to reflect changes that you and your tenant have agreed on and have this sent out again.

 

  • Tip: The new agreement will automatically be sent out to your tenant and all you need to do is wait. Once the agreement is returned you can mark your tenancy application as signed. Otherwise if you need to make further changes then you can easily back-track to step one.

To make changes to a new tenancy agreement:

 

  1. Select the Applications menu at the bottom of your screen and click on the property with the tenancy agreement that you want to change.
  2. You should now see a list of the tenants who you have sent a tenancy agreement to below the title Awaiting signature. When you select each name, the details of the tenancy agreement you have sent them will show up. To make changes to these details, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Update agreement.
  3. Here you can edit the existing details of the agreement and then click Next in the top right-hand corner when this is complete.
  4. You will then come to a Review page where you can double check the new details of the agreement. If again you are happy with these then you can scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the blue button that says Generate agreement.
  5. The new agreement will be sent out to your tenant and all you need to do is wait. Once the agreement is returned you can mark your tenancy application as signed. Otherwise if you need to make further changes then you can easily back-track to step one.
